Regulatory Analyst Position Description: The Regulatory Analyst will serve as a key member of the Opportune Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team and will be responsible for scheduling, calculating, and filing regulatory reports to various state and federal entities on behalf of multiple clients monthly.
The candidate must be able to communicate with clients and with other BPO team members.
Responsibilities: Calculate and file for various state and federal agenciesFollow and maintain monthly quarterly and/or annual filing processesReconcile regulatory payable accounts monthlyResearch regulatory topics and provide guidance to department and clients as neededAssist with department regulatory calendarsIdentify and maintain schedules for necessary amendment filingsAssist leadership with client related projects as identified Work closely with members of the department on process improvements, training, and department initiatives as assigned by managementOther duties as assigned Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the oil and gas industryExperience within Regulatory, Revenue and/or Production accounting departments Strong Excel skill set and the ability to manage complex spreadsheetsRegulatory experience including royalty reporting to federal, tribal and/or state agencies and severance tax reporting to multiple state agencies is a preferred Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively Location: Opportune LP - 10777 Clay Rd.
