The primary focus of this position is to assist our clients with state and federal regulatory and cost reporting requirements, with a significant emphasis on growth.  The successful candidate will participate in developing and achieving Telecom Group goals while providing expert service to clients throughout the country.Individuals who thrive at Moss Adams exhibit the following success skills – Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Executive Presence, Growth Mindset, Intellectual Curiosity, and Results Focus.Responsibilities:Lead a team in the preparation of detailed cost separations studies and universal service funding filingsCoordinate the preparation and submission of state general rate cases and similar universal service funding applicationsAssist in the preparation and communication of complex state and federal regulatory filings on behalf of telecommunications clientsInterface with clients and prospective clients to identify their needs and strategic opportunities, identify appropriate Moss Adams resources, and coordinate the delivery of serviceTraining and development of staff to assist with all other responsibilities identified, including the identification and development of long-term succession for self and othersDevelopment of new regulatory services that will add value for our telecommunications clientsIdentification of prospective client targets and communication of the Moss Adams value proposition, with an annual goal of at least $250K in new client workActively participate in state and national industry associations to represent the Moss Adams brand and identify new client and service opportunitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting, economics or finance; or equivalent experience requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience in telecommunications regulatory and cost reporting and/or accountingKnowledge and understanding of telecom accounting, separations and cost studies, state and interstate tariffs, carrier access billing and traffic, state public utility commissions, federal and state regulatory issues affecting telecom industryProblem solver with good judgment and ability to think strategicallyExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsStrong commitment to professional standards and ethicsAbility to develop trusted client advisor relationships with clients and mentor relationships with staffStrong track record of client recruitment and retentionAbility to understand complex regulations and proposed regulations and communicate them clearly to clients and staffAbility to travel as needed, approximately 40%Moss Adams is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
