Chewy Vet Care is seeking **Relief Veterinarians** to complete and support staffing/coverage needs at our hospitals.
The ideal candidate must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and have a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
Excellent client communication and high-quality medicine is required.
**What Will You Do?
**
+ Engage with the care team to deliver an unparalleled client experience.
+ Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes.
+ Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
+ Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
+ Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
**What Will You Need?
**
+ A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) or equivalent is required
+ Active State license in good standing, DEA license and other state credentials as required
+ PLIT Insurance
+ 2 + years experience in general medicine and surgery
+ The ability to multi-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability.
+ Have exemplary listening and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Is comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals, utilizing a team-oriented environment.
+ Is passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus.
+ Computer skills - Comfortably and confidently uses a computer and PIMS software
+ A genuine passion for providing care that aligns with the teams values and mission.
**What Are Physical Requirements?
**
+ Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.
+ Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Frequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.
+ Rarely lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.
+ Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.
