Job Description
Primarily responsible for the daily processing and packaging of remittance accounts as customer and departmental procedures instruct.Balances payment transactions and performs data entry for data analysis and billing purposes.
Troubleshoots equipment issues and identifies the most appropriate escalation for resolution.

How You'll Spend Your Time You will receive, sort and open remittance envelopes, including cash and non-cash items, according to payment type and customer specifications.
You will prepare general ledger cash entries and examine contents of mail for correct information by following specific set of detailed instructions for opening mail and preparing payment information.
You will produce reports detailing payment information according to customer specifications using on-line computer applications.
You will balance and validate internal and external checks and enter payment information into main frame and computer systems per the customer's specifications. You will initiate "start of day" and "end of day" procedures which include bringing up the necessary systems (TMS, sorters, servers, and stagers), transferring previous day remittance batches, verifying batches left in interactive processing, and initiating ACH batches that pass through PEP to the Federal Reserve to debit customer accounts.
You will utilize high-speed imaging equipment to perform daily duties and access information in a structured way.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of high school and 2 years of experience in remittance operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
