### **Job Description**

Anixter International is seeking a driven and independent Remote Customer Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to support our customers by providing high-quality service and assistance remotely. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit while working under minimal supervision to resolve customer inquiries and issues efficiently.

### **Key Responsibilities**

- **Customer Communication**: Respond promptly to a high volume of customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat. Address concerns, provide accurate information, and guide customers in a friendly and professional manner.

- **Issue Resolution**: Identify customer issues and escalate them as necessary, ensuring timely resolution while maintaining a positive experience for the customer.

- **Account Management**: Assist customers with account inquiries, including order status, account setups, and invoice questions. Confirm customer identities as needed to protect their data.

- **Documentation**: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions using our customer relationship management (CRM) system. Ensure accurate data entry and timely updates.

- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and technical support, to resolve customer issues and facilitate information sharing that enhances service quality.

- **Feedback Collection**: Gather customer feedback and insights to help improve our products and services. Report trends or common issues to management.

- **Training and Development**: Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and customer service skills. Stay up-to-date with company policies, product updates, and industry trends.

- **Adherence to Standards**: Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in all customer interactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

### **Requirements**

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.

- **Experience**: Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field, preferably in a remote working environment.

- **Independent**: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively managing time and priorities.
