About this Role: Wander is a growing fast-paced startup, hiring a full-time FP&A Specialist. You will work remotely as a member of the Finance Team supporting board requests and providing comprehensive business-level reviews. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys thinking cross-functionally, is savvy with reporting technologies, and is both creative and analytical. You will report directly to the VP of Finance.
What You'll Do: Prepare financial reports and analyses for internal and external reporting
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making
Analyze business performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret financial data
Create and deliver business-level updates to stakeholders
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA is a plus
5+ years of experience in FP&A or related finance roles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Ideal Candidate: 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with a track record of supporting C-level executives and board members
Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
Experience in a high-growth or dynamic industry, demonstrating adaptability to changing business environments
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence decision-making across various departments
A proactive approach to identifying areas for process improvement and implementing innovative solutions
Excellent project management skills, capable of juggling multiple high-priority tasks with tight deadlines
A strategic mindset, able to connect financial analysis to broader business objectives and market trends
Experience with advanced financial modeling techniques and scenario analysis
Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles and best practices in FP&A
Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives around financial data
