Morgan Stanley Home Loans, a division of MSPBNA, is looking for the best of the best to provide premier mortgage services to our clients. The Home Loans Executive Director of Control and Governance is currently seeking an AVP Mortgage Communications & Procedure Technical Writer who will report to the VP Communications and Procedures Manager to be responsible for producing efficient, high-quality, easily readable documentation adhering to an established style guide.Your writing and communication skills will be used to provide business partners with procedures and communications.You will be working with subject matter experts and project managers in Home Loans to create, update or decommission procedures, communications and publishing our online content.

Locations:New York City, Dallas or Remote

Job responsibilities to include:

-  Manage the Home Loans Procedure, Communication and Procedure Tracker Management SharePoint sites for procedures, communications, and annual re-certifications requests
-  Lead working sessions with applicable parties to draft new or update to procedures and obtain appropriate approvals including but not limited to Process Owners, Legal, Compliance, Operational Risk prior to publishing content and saving for audit purposes
-  Prepare and deliver timely weekly and ADHOC communications to the Home Loans business and WM Ops Partners
-  Partner with Change Management to monitor technology enhancements to ensure policy and/or procedure updates are completely in alignment with a schedule system release
-  Proactively support implementation and resolution of production incidents by preparing temporary tactical procedures until a long-term solution is implemented
-  Contribute to continuous improvement of Procedures, Communication and Document Management team by proactively supporting knowledge sharing within team and across partners
-  Partner with Training Team by providing procedures, and/or job aids that may assist with development of training content for learners
-  Monitor the annual refresh process, to ensure that all procedures and supporting documents are up to date, ready for training, refreshers, and for Audit and Compliance exams.
-  Knowledge and experience in technical writing, publishing, and process analysis
-  Strong editorial skills
-  Experience using publishing software
-  Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (word, excel, power point, Visio, and Outlook) and Signavio
-  Adobe Acrobat Pro

Preferred qualifications:
-  BS/BA or equivalent preferred
-  Minimum of 1- 3 years of relevant work experience in journalism, communications, or related field
-  Experience working in or supporting Mortgage Operations
-  Excellent communication, oral, written and presentation skills
-  Strong project management and organizational skills
-  Excellent customer focus; results oriented; focused on attention to detail
-  Strong relationship building skills and ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional groups

For New York, expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
