Because of our growth, we are looking for a Senior BIM Coordination, who has at least 3+ recent years of experience within an electrical construction environment, loves clash detection & thinks REVIT is the coolest software, ever. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in electrical systems, proficiency in BIM software, and experience working in a fast-paced construction environment. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with different departments, subcontractors, and clients. Responsibilities BIM Modeling & Coordination: Develop and manage 3D/2D models for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Coordinate BIM models with other trades (HVAC, plumbing, structural, etc.) to identify and resolve clashes. Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to understand project needs and ensure BIM models align with design and construction goals. Clash Detection & Resolution: Perform clash detection and work with other discipline leads to resolve any conflicts in the design and coordination process using tools like Navisworks. Drawing Production: Generate detailed electrical construction drawings, including layouts, schematics, and as-built models, from BIM models. Ensure drawings meet client specifications and local building codes. Model Updates & Revisions: Maintain up-to-date BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, including modifications based on field changes, client requests, or updated designs. Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of the BIM models and drawings. Conduct regular quality checks on all deliverables. Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam to create and manage models. Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and best practices. Client & Team Communication: Attend coordination meetings with clients, subcontractors, and project teams. Present BIM models and explain potential conflicts or design solutions. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare regular reports on BIM progress, clash detection findings, and coordination updates. Maintain accurate records of all BIM-related activities for each project. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably with an electrical contractor. Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes. Experience in clash detection and coordination with other trades. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to electrical systems.
