Job Summary
The Rental Warehouse position is responsible for unloading, receiving, and distributing the incoming items.
All merchandise and supplies are controlled by Warehouse Receiving.
The Rental Warehouse position is responsible for unloading trucks of linen, preparing new linen to be sent to production facility, generating packing slips, organizing new linen in warehouse, conducting monthly inventories, preparing carts for shipment to customer locations.
Rental staff work as a team, with each member taking roles such as manually packing carts, ensuring all orders are filled, weighing carts, opening new linen.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
This position will involve working within a team of people performing similar duties.
Along with one or more team members, a Rental worker may perform some or all the following duties during a given shift:
Assist in loading and unloading carts from delivery truck Prepare new linen to go out to production facility Generating Packing Lists Organizing new linen in warehouse Organizing linen and producing monthly inventories Generating in-house POs Check packing orders Line carts with plastic Retrieve cleaned/dried linens which have been bundled and packing them into carts Bundle linens using string tying machine and plastic wrap machine Weigh carts and enter weight into a computer Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace Additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Ability to read and write in English Basic competency with computers and operating software Quality orientation and high attention to detail Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations Strong teamwork skills- ready and willing to work closely with team members Open to long hours and working weekends (Saturday/Sunday) when necessary Pass a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in a warehouse environment Physical Requirements Physical demands include constant standing and frequent walking.
Constant reaching above and below shoulder height, twisting, grasping items and work tools such as mops, towels, and cleaning products.
Repetitive hand movement includes simple and power grasping, fine manipulation and pushing and pulling items up to 100 pounds on a constant basis.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Ability to hear for safety and awareness of surroundings.
Ability to meet all physical demands for the whole shift.
Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator Must be physically able to operate pallet jack and a forklift and must pass required certification.
Work Environment
The rental warehouse consists of two sides, non-air-conditioned inventory side and air-conditioned cart packing side.
The air-conditioned side is where staff primarily works out of.
