This role reports to the US (United States) Spare Parts & Repair Center Manager and is located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for directly supporting customer repairs, warranty requests, upgrade requests and calibration and verification requests. This role will take guidance from the Repair Center Manager and support the repair schedule, information requests and expedite requests as defined by the Repair Coordinator. The Repair Technician is not to take guidance outside of the Repair Center Chain of Command and shall escalate any requests originating outside of the Chain of Command to their direct manager for guidance. Working under direct supervision, conduct evaluations of product using defined processes and procedures, including verbal guidance and direction from repair technicians holding higher competency ratings. Evaluations, repairs, runout/verification and logging of repair findings must all follow written and verbal direction to include but not limited to: Safety/ABRAs (Activity Based Risk Assessments), Quality Policy, Integrity Policy and Written Processes and Procedures relevant to Service Repairs.
Your responsibilities Follow all Safety, Integrity, and Quality processes, including verbal guidance Provide highest level of Customer Service by delivering quality, timely repairs and providing collaborative, positive communication with internal stake holders Achieve and maintain required competencies for scope of product supported Provide collaborative, positive feedback as a participant weekly repair meetings to support repairs in process, identifying issues, and resolving to provide minimal customer impact Follow defined processes (Eval, Repair, and Validation) without deviation. If an inconsistency is found, provide feedback to direct manager and support resolution Support projects to improve repair center efficiency, that is, Process Changes, BOL, FSL, Master Data, Repair Schedule, etc. as defined by management Support profitability in repairs: Validate warranty requests, ensure costing is accurate for repairs including accurate parts and labor reporting Ensure materials meet highest standards, that is, if refurbished is an option, ensure pre defined test criteria has been met through appropriate record keeping means Any additional housekeeping, maintenance, operational or administrative tasks as required or directed by supervisor Your background High School Diploma and more than 2 years of mechanical or electrical production or repair experience Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US More about us We look forward to receiving your application.
