JOB SUMMARY:
The Representative, Business Affairs, works under the direction of the Senior Manager, Business Affairs, in processing and managing contracts, IP consents, talent and music clearances and related legal documents as a result of negotiated business and licensing arrangements to further the strategic goals of Universal Destinations & Experiences.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process contracts, IP clearance licenses, talent, and music consents and other legal documents as related to third party business relationships (e.g., owners of intellectual properties, music stakeholders and talent). Directly speak to third party licensors and negotiate terms based on pre-defined parameters. Manage incoming and outgoing documents in accordance with Legal guidelines. Interface with UDX/UO/USH finance groups to create and manage efficient invoicing systems. Collect sensitive data and paperwork from third parties. Track status of all licensing deals; create system for tracking licensing deals; manage creation and direction of process.
Consolidate and present licensing data to third party vendors, UDX legal and marketing teams, and other UDX/UO/USH senior management. Create a process for collecting, analyzing, and tracking licensing information from all parks domestically and internationally. Understand and interpret extrapolated trends in licensing data over a broad expanse of time across all parks. Interface with senior and executive level management to discuss findings and propose efficiencies. Actively use interpretation of data to present negotiation plans to third parties.
Predict and identify annual trends in project licensing across all parks. Track and manage projection data. Present data to senior management; create best practices to accommodate trends and find efficiencies.
Maintain accurate tracking documentation for licensed intellectual properties, including creation of new best practices to meet the licensing needs of project teams and UDX/UO/USH Legal & Business Affairs.
Prepare, issue, and track standard, mutual, and specialized non-disclosure agreements with third parties.
Perform other duties as assigned to assist UDX/UO/USH Legal & Business Affairs teams in contract, IP clearance licensing and other legal document drafting, issuance, collection, and storage.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

EDUCATION:
Associate degree is required.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ year of contract experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent contract writing skills required.
Ability to read and interpret legal documents.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and make adjustments to legal drafts, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
