Provides reports pertaining to the budgetary and fiscal management of research programs. Assists in coordinating division academic activities. Provides assistance with time and effort reporting. Serves as a liaison to internal departments and external philanthropic and academic organizations. Provides administrative support and coordination of the operational and administrative activities for the research area.Essential job duties and responsibilities:Works under the direction of Directors, Managers, and Principal Investigators on budgetary and fiscal management for all operations within assigned area.Prepares PowerPoint presentations utilizing advanced slide techniques that are easy to present, captivates an audience and translates a clear and concise message. Creates advanced epidemiological figures, graphs, tables, and charts for meetings, grant applications, abstracts, manuscripts using Microsoft Excel that are editable and easily adaptable in Word and PowerPoint. Updates bibliographies for papers, presentations and grant applications and tracks publication data utilizing: PubMed, Orchid, Endnote and myNCBI. Submits manuscript submissions by adhering to publisher guidelines and tracks submission progress and keeps the first and last author informed. Maintains internal electronic publication library that coincides with investigator's curriculum vitae.Conducts literature reviews for papers, grants and presentations and summarizes results in a professional and thorough manner. Participates in weekly analysis meetings, circulates meeting minutes/action items, and maintains an analysis tracker spreadsheet to document the status of each project. Proofreads documents (correspondence, grant applications, abstracts, manuscripts, IRB submissions). Manages IRB protocols and verifies staff are incompliance with CITI and institutional training. Submits continuing reviews, amendments and staff changes to the IRB, as well as maintains a spreadsheet documenting the purpose of each submission.Assists Senior Grant Administrator with grant related activities such as: collecting/reviewing biosketches and letters of support, as well as creates folder structures on shared drives to maintain organization.Assists Senior Project Advisor with research related work, such as submitting check requests for study related expenses and works directly with accounts payable and research personnel to ensure transactions are timely.Organizes webinars, meetings, teleconference calls for various research projects, as well as send meeting reminders. Attends meetings and circulates minutes/action items. QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. Strong verbal and writing ability as well as communication, computer, organization, personnel and time-management skills.Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks requiring attention to detail.Previous experience in research environment preferred.About UsCedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
