Gynecologic Cancer Epidemiology Postdoctoral Fellowship The Trabert Research Team at the University of Utah School of Medicine and Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scholar interested in advancing their career in a vibrant and collaborative environment with superb resources. The candidate will work with Dr. Trabert to investigate the etiologic heterogeneity and survival of gynecologic tumors.
Dr. Trabert is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah and has a strong track record of mentoring postdoctoral trainees to successful research careers. Research projects evaluating commonly used medications, comorbidities, inflammation, and circulating hormones as they relate to the etiology of female cancers are immediately available.
RESPONSIBILITIES The selected candidate will be expected to:
Perform self-directed research independently as well as in a collaborative setting. Analyze data and prepare publications summarizing research findings. Review the scientific literature effectively. Demonstrate effective communication skills; present research at national meetings and author manuscripts for publications in scientific journals. The candidate must be willing to prepare training grant proposals and other funding applications.

QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must have a PhD/ScD and research experience in epidemiology and/or biostatistics, and be authorized to work in the United States. An early track record of scientific accomplishment as evidence by first-author publications in scientific journals and a commitment to apply for external funding (e.g., K99/R00) is required. Qualified and motivated individuals with a track record of success in reproductive and/or cancer epidemiology will be considered. Experience with epidemiologic analyses and good writing skills are highly desired.
