The Institute for Computing and Cybersystems (ICC) at Michigan Technological University is seeking a professional staff position to support research development and day-to-day operations.The position will provide comprehensive research support services, coordinate Institute operations, and assist with administrative tasks.The position will work closely with the Great Lakes Research Center to support research growth.

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive research support services including teambuilding, proposal development, and project management.• Coordinate daily operations of the Institute, establish operational procedures, and maintain a professional environment.• Track and report financial and performance data using various software systems.• Analyze information and resolve problems related to research grants and contracts.• Assist in the execution of short- and long-term goals of the Institute.• Develop and maintain relationships with staff in other departments/units.• Lead and organize Institute functions and events.• Coordinate news content and marketing materials for the University.• Perform other tasks as needed.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required.• Relevant experience in research organization and coordination.• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe products, and web-based productivity resources.• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.• Ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse individuals.• Knowledge of Michigan Tech policies and procedures is a plus.• Experience in an academic or complex organization preferred.
