Job Title: Research Faculty I, 12 Month Salaried - Data Analyst (Institute for Governance and Civics) Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 59012 Department Institute for Governance and Civics - Office of the Provost Responsibilities The Institute for Governance and Civics at Florida State University seeks candidates for a Data Analyst position. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree upon taking the position. Expertise is required in the specific area of polling and data analysis. Responsibilities may include designing and carrying out experiments, creating surveys and conducting polling, collecting and aggregating data from various sources, estimating regression models and other empirical analyses, presenting findings at public meetings and conferences, advising the Director on research questions and methods, and assisting various PIs affiliated with the IGC in their grant and paper writing. Candidates who also can conduct cost-benefit analyses are desired but not required. The position will research matters relating to civics, public policy, education, politics, and related matters. We are open to candidates from various mathematical and social science backgrounds, such as statistics, political science, public policy, economics, and related fields.
