Research Internship Opportunity at Ericsson: Get hands-on experience building the future mobile Internet

Ericsson is offering an intern position for those interested in topics related to network software, radio networks, real-time video transport, cloud software architecture. The position will be based in Santa Clara, California, generally 60/40 in-office vs. remote work,  20 to 40 hours weekly. Fully remote work may be possible with special arrangements.

What you will do
We are a close-knit team; personality fit, an active learning mindset, and good communication skills are very important.  Typical candidates are university students, however other applicants are encouraged to apply if they have IT or networking industry experience. 
The position will be part of a small team focused on network technology within a larger group of around 30 researchers from many different technical fields. There will be opportunities to work with and learn from people with different skill-sets. 
Typical work includes contributing to development and testing of system prototypes, analyzing datasets, group discussions, report writing and working on patents and publications. 

You will bring
Proficiency in one or more areas:Software development
Network software and equipment testing in a lab or data center setting
Data science and statistical analysis

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
An active learning mindset
Applicants are typically University students. However, people with relevant IT or networking industry experience are welcome to apply.

Successful candidates will be highly motivated and skilled in at least one of the following areas: software development, testing network software and equipment in a lab or data center setting, data science and statistical analysis.

Internship Eligibility Requirements:
3.0+ GPA
Currently pursuing an undergraduate, Master's, or PhD on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university
Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer
Have at least 1 semester left (post-internship)
Major, experience, or demonstrable interest in the position you apply for.

This position reports to Research Leader of GFTL ER Networks Progr Netw & Interfaces.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
•    Washington, New York, and New Jersey: $28 - $35
•    California: $28 - $38
•    All other US locations: $26 - $32
