Research Lab Technician

Research lab technician needs 1+ years' research/ genomics lab experience
Research lab technician requires:
? 3-6 month prior experience in a Core or Research lab setting
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate internally with co-workers and externally with Facility clients.
? Sanger sequencing
? Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
? Detail oriented with strong sense of work ownership.
? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
? Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

Research lab technician duties:
? Work closely with other facility staff to ensure timely delivery of samples to PIs. (20%) Other Facility related functions as needed.
? Rigorous in keeping records related to the Sanger data production pipeline
? Update clients on project progress as needed.
? Performs other related work as needed.
? Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
? Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
? Performs other related work as needed.
