Job Description A research professional position in plant metabolomics is available at the University of Georgia. We seek a highly motivated individual with a strong background in plant metabolism and analytical chemistry to lead the operation of LC-MS/MS and GC-MS for research and analytical service in metabolite profiling.
The individual will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the LC-MS/MS and GC-MS instruments, developing analytical methods, assisting with user training and data processing, and fulfilling service requests for metabolite analysis. The individual will collaborate with and support faculty, researchers, and graduate students of the Plant Center in basic and applied research to advance plant science, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
Minimum Requirements: BS and MS degrees in an appropriate discipline. Hands-on experience with plant metabolite profiling, metabolomics, analytical instrumentation, and MS data interpretation. Ability to train others and oversee technical activities and instrument maintenance. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple service projects and coordinate with collaborators and stakeholders.
