The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Center for Global Cancer Control, at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Scientist to join the department's growing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of research projects within the division of gynecologic oncology, with a particular focus on public health initiatives. Our research team has extensive experience in patient and stakeholder engagement, community-academic partnerships, qualitative and quantitative analyses, translational research, implementation science, and dissemination. Essential Functions Participate in the development and design of research projects, protocols, and experiments. Lead and contribute to research endeavors focused on gynecologic oncology, ensuring scientific rigor and adherence to project timelines while collaborating with physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, other researchers, staff, and department administration. Contribute to clinical trial design and management efforts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards while also assisting in crafting grant proposals to secure funding for research initiatives. Demonstrate a strong understanding of grant writing principles and methodologies and be able to provide support in regulatory affairs related to grant work, including but not limited to IRB submissions and compliance documentation. Required Education PhD and/or MD in a relevant field such as Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Behavior or Promotion, or a related discipline. Required Experience Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline. Additional Qualifications Considered Prior experience in conducting research within the field of women's oncology is ideal. Demonstrated proficiency in research project design, implementation, and analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience in grant writing and/or managing clinical trials is ideal. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Commitment to advancing women's health, health equity and contributing to scientific discoveries in gynecologic oncology.
