The Department of Neurology's CNET division seeks to hire a Research Scientist for the laboratory of Dr. Joao Pereira. The position will establish state of the art iPSC differentiation protocols, and assist in the preparation of complex cellular models such as organoids and assembloids. The candidate will also prepare weekly reports and join regular lab meetings.
ResponsibilitiesA Research Scientist conducts advanced studies in a specific field, applying specialized knowledge to drive research projects.This role involves data analysis, interpretation of results, and contribution to scientific literature.The position requires collaboration with peers and adherence to established protocols, with moderate autonomy and responsibility for project deliverables.Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens expansion and banking of iPSC cell stocks.Cellular maintenance and differentiation.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work CharacteristicsPhDOne or two years of postdoctoral experience.Experience in molecular and cellular biology.Experience in cell cultures, animal models, and tissue processing.Salary Range:$70,425 - $114,440
