Position Overview The University of Minnesotaâ™s (UMN) Mental Health AIMS (Assessment and Intervention in Multi-tiered Systems) Lab seeks a candidate to fill one Researcher 5 position. The individual will work directly with the principal investigator, Dr. Faith Miller, to plan, coordinate, and manage the logistics of project implementation, including, but not limited to, two ongoing mental health demonstration grants. This includes the management of graduate research assistants and project personnel, development of project specific work plans, protocol- based content development, data collection, data entry, and data analysis. This position is based on campus. Per UMN policy, work may be done remotely when appropriate and approved by your manager. 

Job Responsibilities Research 60%
?Serve as co-researcher on two mental health demonstration grants.
?Coordinate federally-funded research project activities.
?Assist Principal Investigator in design and final planning of project research activities.
?Support the development of research design and data analytic methods.
?Ensure data integrity and quality.
?Present research findings at national and international conferences and other peer-reviewed venues.
?Investigate and maintain detailed research plans for each distinct data collection effort.
?Conduct literature review of planned domains of assessment and maintain up to date reports of related research.
?Monitor data collection, data analysis, and disseminate findings.
?Write empirical manuscripts for peer-review in scientific journals.
?Ensure IRB and ETHOS policies are followed for all research involving human subjects.
Project Management 20%
?Manage projects independently, including the development and management of work plans, timelines and resources to meet project goals.
?Coordinate with participants for scheduling.
?Coordinate efforts of UM personnel and partners for regular meetings and communication.
?Serve as a liaison to partner school buildings/districts.
?Complete other management tasks as assigned.
?Attend weekly project meetings.
Supervision 20%
?Recruit and supervise the work of project personnel to include Graduate Research Assistants, data collectors and other project staff as assigned in relation to project duties. 
?Educate and train research staff about the research program, goals, proper research methods, data collection and storage practices and procedures.
Required Qualifications ?Masterâ™s degree in education, psychology, or special education.
?One or more years of graduate training in research methods and data analysis.
?Experience conducting research.
?Strong professional writing skills, including research reports, peer reviewed research articles, or other print and electronic publications.
?Strong organizational and communication skills.
?Demonstrated experience in student mental health.
?Demonstrated experience working as part of a team and independently on self-directed projects.
?Ability to collaborate effectively with people from a variety of communities, backgrounds, and identities.
Preferred Qualifications ?Ph.D.in school psychology
?At least 2 years of progressively responsible research experience, with demonstrated proficiency working with principal investigators.
?Documented project management experience.
?Familiarity conducting mixed-methods research.
?Proficiency with managing data sets and data analysis software and procedures.
?Demonstrated experience with data collection, procedural fidelity monitoring, data analysis, data management, and coordination/supervision.
?Expertise in MTSS to support studentâ™s social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
