ORGANIZATION SUMMARY World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of additional funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on the availability of resources. Resettlement Specialist Assistant assists caseworker in welcoming refugees into the country and building a great start in their first 90 days
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until 3/31/25 and contingent upon funding extension.
\n ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:Welcome newly arriving refugee families and individuals Provide community orientation, advice, and assistance in addressing basic needs Assist refugee participants in accessing appropriate services such as public assistance, education, health care, and employment services Encourage participants to work towards self-sufficiency and early employment Assist in applying for health insurance for the cases Help maintain and complete case files and required documentation for each case Help maintain regular contact with assigned cases, including required home visits Provide health and safety orientations to the families Identify and address barriers to successful resettlement as necessary Operate as a cultural broker between volunteers, church groups, service providers and refugees.Other related tasks as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS:Mature and personal Christian faithCommitted to the mission, vision, and values of World ReliefDesire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communitiesAble to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation documentCurrent driver's license, and clean driving record required. \n$23.50 - $24.50 an hour
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
