Boswell Engineering is seeking a Resident Engineer with experience on highway and bridge projects for immediate assignment on NJ Turnpike Authority and/or NJDOT projects.
The position can be based at either our South Hackensack, NJ or Chester, NJ office.
Responsibilities:
+ Perform on-site inspection of various heavy highway and/or bridge rehabilitation/replacement, paving projects, and drainage projects
+ Daily inspection on complex, large, and/or diverse projects in order to ensure contractors operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents
+ Complete daily Resident Engineer reports
+ Prepare As-built drawings and assemble data for Field Engineer to utilize when making changes to the project
+ Assure general compliance with NJ Turnpike Authority and NJDOT standards and specifications
+ Combination of both office and field duties
+ Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, current NJ Professional Engineer License a plus
+ Ten (10+) years of experience as a Resident Engineer on bridges and highway projects
+ Valid NICET Certification IV or P.E.
is required
+ Ability to read and understand plans/specifications and properly document collected data
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
+ NJ Turnpike Authority experience is preferred
+ Night and/or weekend work may be required and must be reliable and flexible
+ Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
