Participates and leads advanced patient education.
Actively involved in departmental operations.The Respiratory team at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital is a collaborative close-knit team with a culture focused on education and growth.

You will have the opportunity to learn new skills such as ECMO or join the Transport team and fly with Life-flight.
You will have the tools and support you need on every shift provided by shift supervisors, Clinical Practice leaders, and equipment techs.
Children's Memorial Hermann, Level I Trauma Center boasts: Academic Center affiliation with UT Health Science Center, NICU Level IV, Pediatric CV heart program, ECMO, PICU, dedicated ER, Neonatal/Pediatric Transport and Ground/Flight transport teams, clinical research involvement opportunities, career ladder for advancement and professional advancement in leadership positions such as:• Clinical Practice Leaders• Shift Supervisor• Relief Shift Supervisor• Department Educator*2+ years ICU experience highly preferred * Full-time and Supplemental availableJob DescriptionMinimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree preferred.Licenses/Certifications:Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License or Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner License.Basic Life Support CertificationTwo (2) of the following are preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPFT, RPFT, RPSGT, Asthma Certified Educator, NRP Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor, or BLS Instructor.Experience / Knowledge / Skills:RCP I
