We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensureAmerican Heart Association BLS health care provider required.
ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire.Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling and moving equipment.Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations.Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.Your duties and responsibilities may include: You will be responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.You must be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.You will maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given.You will perform your procedures with care and empathy for our patients.No Travel Required6 months experience Required Years of Experience HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has been serving the community since 1981.
