Job DescriptionJob Overview:This job exists as a temporary position for RCP students enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy School until they obtain their limited permit from the State Medical Board of Ohio.
RCP students who do not obtain the limited permit within department specified time frames will no longer be eligible to remain in this job category.
Under the direction of the Medical Director this individual will assist licensed respiratory care practitioners in patient care settings appropriate to their level of training and competency - see stipulations identified in the performance measures and standards- .
Duties may include developing assessment skills under the direction of a licensed RCP, cleaning and assembling department equipment, EKGs, and providing licensed RCP's with necessary supplies.Job Requirements:Currently enrolled in an approved program for specific field of study in Allied Health Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy ProgramCardiopulmonary physiology, other sciences related to respiratory care, and relevant pharmacologyJob Responsibilities:Assembles equipment and circuitry applicable to equipment with all required supplies and accessories.Cleans and disinfects department equipment following infection control guidelines.
Transports supplies to and from central processing.Provides licensed RCP's with necessary supplies and replenish inventory levels in store rooms.
