Job Description: Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team at The Mav Kitchen & Tap House. This is a demanding role requiring a hands-on approach, long hours on your feet, and flexibility with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Oversee and manage 20-25 front of house employees and the kitchen manager. Recruit, hire, train, and schedule all restaurant staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and handle disciplinary actions, including terminations when necessary. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and high morale. Operational Management: Ensure smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. Monitor and manage labor costs to stay within budgetary constraints. Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and effectively. Inventory & Cost Control: Manage the ordering and inventory of all food and alcohol supplies. Keep food and beverage costs in line with historical performance and budget targets. Work closely with suppliers to negotiate best prices and ensure timely delivery of quality products. Financial Management: Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability. Prepare regular financial reports and implement strategies to improve revenue and control costs. Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting restaurant operations. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
