Restaurant Managers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations including optimizing profits, increasing sales, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for Guests and Team Members alike. The Restaurant Manager role at Oregano's is unlike that of other restaurant groups because it is not siloed to one workgroup or area of the business -- our managers are hybrid, Front of House and Back of House operators. For those exceptional souls who join us as leaders, we provide an extensive Manager-In-Training Program. The program includes hands-on position training (Front of House and Back of House), mentor-shadowing, corrective coaching education, and transition time from training location to home location. Additionally, we offer our Managers ongoing leadership education, mentorship opportunities, new restaurant opening assignments, and more!
Management responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ability to lead a team in a focused, thoughtful, and composed manner in a fast-paced restaurant environment.Perform successful Manager on Duty shifts, scheduled based on a 50-hour work week.Foster a safe work environment for Oregano's Team Members by following company and statewide safety guidelines (i.e. executing mandatory, pre-shift symptom screenings, mandating mask-wearing for all restaurant positions, enforcing enhanced cleaning routines and increased hand-washing expectations, operating with less than 50% occupancy and distanced dining and waiting areas, and more).Enforce proper sanitation and cleanliness standards to fulfill all restaurant operations guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Create timely schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels to execute our standards of service.Deliver high-quality product made in accordance with Oregano's recipes.Follow all cash handling procedures to minimize all cash shortages.Maintain proper employee records and documentation per company standards and federal, state, and local ordinances.Perform all duties and responsibilities according to the written General Standards of Conduct and Guidelines and Responsibilities in the Oregano's Team Member Handbook. Minimum Requirements: Valid driver's license, as the role includes occasional driving responsibilities. Valid state accredited food safety and alcohol management certifications.Ability to successfully complete Manager-In-Training program.2-3 years of management experience at a high-volume, casual dining concept preferred. Microsoft Office, Aloha, HotSchedules, and Optimum Control Inventory Management System experience is a plus.
