What Will You Be Doing

The Restoration Lead Estimator leads and is responsible for all estimating activities and coordinates with sales and operational teams by establishing a detailed project scope, costs and comprehensive proposal for all construction projects.

Essential Job FunctionsUnderstands and has experience in multifamily renovation and restoration work in projects ranging from $500k to $15m.Understands and is proficient in Xctimate and the insurance process within the restoration space.Understands and is proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.Understands and is proficient in subcontractor/vendor buyout. Understands and is proficient with keeping in touch with market costs of labor, materials, etc. throughout Texas and other states we work in.Leads the estimating team in producing complete and comprehensive estimates.Lead all estimating staff meetings and project estimate review meetings.Manage all estimating processes and personnel from start to finish.Walk, photograph and scope all types of restoration & renovation projects. Inspect buildings and/or job sites to determine scope needed.  Determines baseline for labor and material requirements.Interpret and review plans and contract requirements in preparation with the estimating process.  Review job specifications, proposed scope of work and existing conditions to determine appropriate construction methods and local code compliance.Evaluate construction methods and determine best cost-effective plan for estimating.  Coordinate with subcontractor base and Renu operations personnel to determine labor costs. Enter costs for labor including sub-contract and turn-key contract prices into Sage 100. Coordinate with the Purchasing department on material costs. Make sketches or read blueprints to detail work to be accomplished .Enter estimates, takeoff and other related notes/information for each bid into Sage 100.Prepare and submit budget estimates to Sales for review prior to submitting bids. Prepares and reviews detailed scope estimates / proposals as required with customers.Perform necessary research to produce accurate scope and competitive pricing.Track and analyze data to keep historical cost vs estimated costs.Develop and ensure team's adherence to approved processes and procedures.A leader and problem solver with a demonstrated strong work ethic.Demonstrated attention to details and time management capabilities.Required QualificationsComputer skills required: Proficiency with Xctimate, Microsoft Office program (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Smartsheet, Sage and Vista.High School degree or equivalent.Demonstrated commitment to diversity, learning and successfully working in multicultural environments. Up to 25% travel, must be able to visit potential job site.  Up to 90% of time spent on computer, reports, etc. Travel requirements vary according to client and project locations.The is an in-office position located in the Carrollton, TX area. Travel requirements vary according to client and project locations. Preferred QualificationsProven track record and experience with leading an estimating team and is completely self-sufficient within the estimating world of work. Four-year degree from an accredited college or university.BenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance401k + Employer MatchLife, AD&D and Disability InsuranceCritical Illness and Hospital IndemnityHSA and FSA optionsEmployee Assistance ProgramUnlimited PTOBi-weekly Phone and Data StipendWork EnvironmentThis is an onsite position based in Carrollton, TX with the flexibility to work from home one day a week.Weekly Monday lunches provided in office.Open floor concept with abundant conference rooms and private cell phone rooms for meetings.Daily snacks and drinks to fuel your creativity and productivity.Physical Requirements
