Your work will solve complex problems, many of which have no clear precedent and require fundamental and creative solution approaches. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of project managers, structural engineers, and architects to develop these solutions which ultimately add value and longevity to the built environment. Actual salaries will vary based on qualifications, skills, and proficiency. Responsibilities - Performs work which involves development of repair drawings, investigations, surveys and testing of existing buildings to identify and diagnose deficiencies contributing to damage or deterioration. - Takes a lead role in preparing project documents, including proposals, reviews documents and recommends revisions where required. - Prepares and maintains the planning, budgeting, scheduling, conducting, or coordination of detailed phases of the engineering work on a project. - Leads or serves as a member of a project team and may perform independent investigation. - Assists the Restoration Consultants during all phases of a project. - Visits site to observe repair work; submits Field Report to Restoration Consultant. -Perform or review condition appraisals, develop repair schemes and repair recommendations. - Attends client meetings as required. - Reviews as-built and repair drawings and responds to field questions from contractors. - Helps train restoration engineers. -Other duties as assigned. \nQualifications - Minimum Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in civil/structural engineering. - Professional licensure required. - Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design, repair/retrofit design and structural failure investigation. - Excellent organization and project management skills. - Experience with post-tensioned structures is a plus. - Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in preparing restoration reports Who We Are Walker is a 100% employee-owned company of many capabilities offering professional services to clients in the private and public market sectors.
