BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The Restoration Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all assigned restoration, reconstruction, and capital improvement projects, including but not limited, to vendor selection, materials procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assistance. The Superintendent is also responsible for working closely with occupants and property owners throughout the process to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Salary Range: $55,000-$90,000
OTE Commission: $30,000-$50,000
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Field Management
* Follows scope and notify Project Director of discrepancies.
* Ensures all work is contracted/subcontracted.
* Obtains building permits as required and follow all government guidelines for each permit and project.
* Adheres to all OSHA and Environment regulations.
* Assists with change order amount when requested.
* Manages subcontractors to verify that they are supplying adequate resources to meet contract requirements.
* Secures project resources in the most cost-effective manner and ensure they are on site at the appropriate time. Manage bid-buy out with trade partners.
* Ensures project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on industry standards.
* Directly supervises BluSky personnel on projects as required.
* Adheres to all company Best Practices.
* Always provides the highest level of customer service.
* All other duties or projects as assigned.
Office Management
* Executes proper subcontractor agreements per company guidelines.
* Ensures all subcontractors are working under a subcontract agreement.
* Approves or rejects invoices as appropriate, with proper communication with your Project Accountant.
* Develops and updates project schedules.
* Updates and provides schedules to Project Director and Profit Center Leader weekly.
* Responsible for directing, mentoring and training junior level team members.
* Represents BluSky emergency mitigation on-call management rotation.
Profitability Management
* Meets or exceeds billing, revenue, and profit margin goals as defined by BluSky.
* Secures bids to obtain fair pricing on jobs within two weeks of assignment of the job per Best Practices.
* Completes buy out worksheet and update weekly.
* Tracks change orders and all extras on projects via signed change order form and budget updates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 3-5 years residential and commercial construction, general contracting and/or restoration experience preferred.
* 3+ years project management experience preferred.
* Must be able to travel in response to both emergency and non-emergency losses across the nation.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal and external contacts throughout the project management process.
* Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
TRAVEL:
Occasional travel. (Less than 25% of time.) Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
