Qualifications Retail management experience Skilled in leading a team, coaching, and training, sales generation, strategic planning, authentic customer service, conflict resolution, business acumen, time management, POS terminals, and general retail software proficiency Ability to manage a team and ensure sales goals are met by tracking, evaluating options, and managing resources Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining detailed and focused Ability to complete operational, administrative and safety tasks on all levels Previous retail experience helpful Previous leadership experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for the customer experience and will ensure we exceed expectations at every touch point. In order to succeed in the position, you will need to be an enthusiastic "people person" who can optimistically handle a challenging and fast-paced environment. You should have experience and a passion for generating sales, safeguarding company assets, and maintaining store standards. A key part of this position will be the operational and administrative side of our store. You should also have a strong background in retail management, merchandising, and sales. Understanding and adapting to local culture is also crucial to your success. Public relations experience and a working knowledge of outdoor recreation, farm and ranch, animal health, tools, and hardware is a plus.
WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm., as well as additional time before and after hours as needed. Being a managerial position it is not uncommon to work up to 55 hours a week. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.
