This position is part of the Retail Team of Camp Timber-lee and is responsible for the staffing, training, scheduling, purchasing, stocking, and operation of the various retail outlets of Camp Timber-lee.
This position also supports the various program departments of Timber-lee including: Saddle Horn Ranch, Science Center, Timber Challenge, Guest Services, and Ministry.
Oversight of Camp Timber-lee's retail outlets including: Camp Store, Acorns Canteen, Science Center Gift Shop, and Blue Spruce StoreAssists with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating resultsOversees scheduling, shift expectations, stock rotation, and inventoryUnderstands the overarching ministry strategy; communicates and models the core values of the organization, in order to create a sense of teamwork and membership among ministry staffMonitors the retail environment and makes adjustments that are necessary in order to maintain the ministry's competitive positionConducts research regarding new items to carry or those that should be discontinuedCommunicates weekly information, major milestones, developments, concerns, any other important news with supervisorEnsures loss control through training and follow-up of store personnel regarding correct inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies Ensures an appropriate resolution of operational customer concernsAssists with Leathershop inventory, budgeting, and logistics as needed Maintains store cleanliness standards and proper store signage at all timesMaintains proper stock levels through appropriate product orderingMerchandises product neatly to maximize salesEnsures the quality and freshness of products for sale, and accuracy of product signageComplies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and dataAssist with OE classes as needed in various departments including Saddle Horn Ranch, Timber Challenge, and Science Center.Assist with various Ministry events and programs including winterXtreme, retreats, recruiting events, and staff eventsAssist the larger organization of Camp Timber-lee through working on assigned tasks and projectsPerform hosting duties at least once per weekOther duties as assigned
