Overview The Mgr, Merchandising is responsible for daily routing and deployment of merchandising teams to ensure that Southern Glazer's products are available and supported by point-of-sale materials in the accounts. The Merchandising Manager is responsible for the recruitment, training, and development of all Merchandisers.
Primary Responsibilities Manage the selection, development, motivation, and retention of staffDevelop the daily routing schedule for teamsMonitor GPS usage and analyze data as availableWork in the field to ensure the proper level of service is providedReceive, investigate and resolve internal and external customer complaints and requestsIdentify and recommend opportunities for employee development and performance improvement requirementsResponsible for point of sale facility and equipmentEnsure OSHA compliance as it relates to equipment and personnelProvide brand-specific product education and training tools to enhance the knowledge/performance of staffSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial control processesPerform other job-related duties as assigned Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experienceThree years of experience in retail management, beverage industry, or similar fieldMust possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance by State laws Physical Demands Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile devicePhysical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stoopingPhysical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hoursMay require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbsThis position is deemed a safety-sensitive position.
