We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Revenue Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will focus on supporting revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and contributing to the accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of revenue accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to improving processes in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:
\n Revenue Recognition and Month-End Close:Perform revenue accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.Assist in the month-end close process to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and timely.Review contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.Analyze revenue fluctuations and prepare supporting schedules as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Legal, Product Management, Revenue Operations, and Sales teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.Collaborate on the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements related to revenue. Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and increase efficiency.Support automation initiatives within the revenue accounting function. Compliance and Reporting:Assist in the preparation of revenue-related financial reports for management and external auditors.Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to revenue recognition. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA eligibility preferred).2+ years of experience in revenue accounting, ideally in a SaaS or technology environment.Strong understanding of ASC 606 and its application to revenue recognition.Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
