Description:

The Revenue Manager will oversee the team and revenue accounting processes to help streamline operations and ensure we remain compliant.


What You'll Do: Manage end-to-end revenue accounting processes, including recognition, documentation, and necessary adjustments Supervise the Order Entry Specialist and review all Order/Billing schedules entered into the accounting system by team members Work closely with the sales, contract, and implementation Teams to close out open orders and follow auditable processes Ensure deferable order items are set up to be deferred correctly and maintain and audit deferral schedules to ensure compliance with revenue recognition Proactively communicate and follow up with the appropriate teams for contract renewals and any orders on hold Provide key reporting for accounting and finance teams and partner with finance to assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed Work with accounts receivable team to ensure all billing is completed for each month and perform monthly account reconciliation for deferred revenue GL accounts Facilitate monthly revenue reviews to ensure accuracy of GAAP revenues by customer Ensure ongoing compliance with all GAAP revenue recognition policies, including updating or adjusting procedures to comply with changing regulations Perform data analytics to identify trends in Accounts Receivables, Deferred Revenues, and Revenue Assist with Annual audits or other required compliance procedures Travel to orientation, industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required Perform additional duties, special projects or tasks as assigned RequirementsDegree in Accounting, Finance or Business, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Proven experience working with commercial contracts and revenue recognition, with deep understanding of SaaS revenue recognition policies Demonstrated experience leading a revenue accounting team within a SaaS organization Strong experience building out policies, procedures and implementing process improvements, and understanding of how to transition to GAAP revenue recognition using big 4 audit processes Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving, analytical & critical thinking skills Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational skills, appreciation of critical timelines and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment Working knowledge of subscription billing and revenue deferral systems, or other similar technologies Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientation Ability to travel as required, up to 10% Benefits and Growth: Outstanding compensation package Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) matching Paid Time Off In office and remote work environments available Perks in the office such as snacks, tap beer, and ping-pong The ability to do meaningful, challenging work on a fun and collaborative team
