Revenue Manager (SaaS Model) Job Overview:
This role is critical in overseeing the entire order-to-cash process, ensuring accurate billing, collections, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GAAP, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing revenue accounting functions, especially within SaaS business models.

Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end order-to-cash process, including accurate and timely billing, collections, revenue recognition, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Review and reconcile sales tax calculations, managing inquiries from clients and ensuring compliance with filed returns.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of transactions in line with GAAP.
Reconcile revenue and other key financial accounts on a regular basis.
Participate in the development of new products, ensuring correct revenue recording, while establishing key controls and enhanced reporting processes as needed.
Act as the subject matter expert on billing systems, leading upgrades and implementing process changes.
Collaborate with IT, sales, and other internal teams on process improvement initiatives.
Review contracts to interpret terms and conditions, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
Coordinate and oversee the collection of overdue accounts.
Hire, train, and mentor billing staff, providing ongoing leadership and direction.
Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Requirements: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with substantial experience in billing and revenue management.
Expertise in sales tax recognition and reconciling sales tax records.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software, with NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
Experience in SaaS revenue models is a plus.
CPA designation is a plus, but not required.
Strong leadership abilities and a proven track record in managing revenue accounting functions.
Salary: Starting at $120k+ base with a performance-based bonus.
