Responsibilities Analyze loan characteristics and credit risk features from the key data Streamline and automate consumption of key data from large and complex sources for use in regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis, primarily to support risk management of the Bank's whole loan mortgage portfolio Maintain existing and build new reporting dashboards to enhance risk management reporting leveraging business intelligence tools such as Tableau Design and maintain large and complex SQL/SAS code used to feed streamlined reporting and other deliverables Responsible for query design, validation, best practices documentation, and regular maintenance Analyze the volume, quality, risk, and performance of the Bank's whole loan mortgage portfolio for internal management, investors, and external agencies (e.g., Federal Housing Finance Agency, FHLB System Office of Finance, and SEC reporting) Support the development and implementation of credit risk models for the mortgage loan portfolio to predict prepayment, default and losses Build algorithmic solutions and design strategies for model assumption setting and performance monitoring Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to assess portfolio risks under macroeconomic and climate risk scenarios Collaborate with validators, auditors and regulators to improve model accuracy and ensure regulatory compliance Conduct regular reviews of optimized processes, explore opportunities to leverage automation tools and technology to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
Position Requirements Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Financial Mathematics or related field and 2 years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Financial Mathematics or related field and 4 years of related experience 2 years of experience analyzing loan characteristics and credit risk features from key data 1 year of experience streamlining and automating consumption of key data for use in regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis 1 year of experience designing and maintaining SQL/SAS code to feed reporting 1 year of experience building new reporting dashboards to enhance risk management reporting leveraging business intelligence tools
