GLFHC is currently seeking a Site Nurse Manager. The Site Nurse Manager provides leadership to the nursing staff, and oversees daily administrative and nursing activities. Plans, develops, and implements systems that assure the site s smooth nursing operation. Responsible for training, monitoring, and evaluation of nursing staff in their delivery of patient care. Assures clinicians are fully supported for patient care. Works collaboratively with the medical staff and all other departments to ensure that the goals of the Health Center are accomplished. Must be able to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Recruits, trains, and develops nursing staff. Initiates and communicates personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews and disciplinary action. Coaches and motivates employees to meet patient needs. Recognizes, assesses and takes immediate action in acute and crisis situations. Assesses the staff nurses ability to safely administer and accurately documents immunizations and medications. Provides training as needed. Is able to assist and train on nursing procedures. Participates in ongoing quality assurance programs to ensure that quality, safety and appropriateness of services are evaluated, monitored and appropriate actions taken. Participates in evaluating strategies which improve patient care and departmental services. Oversees the ordering of medical equipment and supplies. Monitors and maintains medical closet. Qualifications Bilingual; Spanish and English Minimum 3 years of nursing experience. Minimum 1 - 3 years of management experience. Graduate of an accredited nursing institute.
