Rn Bsn - Vascular Access

Details of the offer

Consults, evaluates, plans, implements, and documents nursing care and interventions for patients in need of intravenous treatment including therapy, vascular access needs, and medication.
Responsibilities: Determines appropriate venipuncture site and performs Ultrasound Guided placement of Peripheral IVs and Midlines for complex IV startsProvides information to patients, families, and co-workers regarding intravenous interventionsCompletes daily central line surveillance and assessment rounds on nursing unitsSupports implanted device access/de-access and assessment for complicationsActs as a subject matter expertPrecepts nurse residents and fellows during field experiencesA wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedTypically reports to a manager or head of a unit/departmentPerforms other related duties as assignedFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the fieldRegular and predictable attendance is an essential job functionCompetent to meet age specific needs of the unit assignedRequirements and Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing programBSN requiredState of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with IdahoCurrent Infusion Nurse Certification (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certification (VA-BC) certification preferredImplanted Access Device class and skills preferred3 to 5 years' experience in related field preferredBLS Required.
