TravelNurseSource is working with Alto HealthCare Staffing to find a qualified Case Manager RN in Alliance, Nebraska, 69301 About The Position Name: RN - Case Manager Position Type: Contract Specialty: Case Management Positions: 1 Start Date: 8/21/2024 End Date: 11/23/2024 Duration (weeks): 14 Shift: 8 hour days; 8:00AM-5:00PM, some night and weekend on call required Guaranteed Hours: 40 Specialty Profile Notes Minimum of 2 years experience in Case Management or Discharge Planning in an Acute Care setting required. Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital or rural health setting highly preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska, or Compact State required. BLS issued through American Heart Association required. Essential Job Functions: Utilization Review of all hospitalized patients and ongoing case review as required by third party insurance companies; issues notices of non-coverage; screen patients for discharge planning needs and assists patients with arrangements; participates in infection control surveillance; prepares a variety of reports assigned by Chief Quality Officer; participates in infection surveillance and patient and staff education related to isolation precautions; provides Social Service staffing and is on-call for Social Services and Utilization Management. Assists patients with the formulation of advance directives; actively participates in Quality Management and Hospital Safety Programs. Shift: 8 hour days x 5 days per week, including some weekends. Rotating call, rotating weekends, and rotating holidays. Orientation: Held every Wednesday, consisting of three days of classroom orientation and one shift with preceptor.
