Rn Emergency Department

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director-Nursing, the Emergency Department RN works in a multidimensional setting. Emergency nursing practice involves the assessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation of intervention.

EXPERIENCE: Previous Emergency Department experience or one year critical care experience.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic EKG; Hazmat within 1 year of hire; Incident Command training (ICS 100, 200, and 700) within 6 months of hire.Experienced nurses must have ACLS upon hire, graduate nurses and nurses new to Critical Care must attain ACLS within 12 months of hire/transition.

OTHER: Basic Computer Skills.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri, BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) within 1 year of hire, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 1 year of hire, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) within 1 year of hire

EDUCATION: Required: Associates - Nursing, Preferred: Bachelors - Nursing
