RN - Emergency Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency is responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
The RN-Emergency will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, as well as coordinate the care provided by other members of the healthcare team.
The RN-Emergency will also be responsible for educating patients and their families about their condition and treatment plan.


**Qualifications:** Graduation from an accredited nursing program Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire AHA ACLS, BLS & PALS certifications 1-2 years of experience in a critical care setting Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Responsibilities:** Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Coordinate the care provided by other members of the healthcare team Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment plan Administer medications and treatments Monitor patient vital signs and laboratory results Document patient care in the medical record Communicate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, pharmacists, and social workers Perform other duties as assigned
