TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Roseburg, Oregon, 97471 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights, 18:45 - 07:15; Every Other Weekend Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience License: Emergency License may be requested Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC (PALS or ENPC recommended but not required) Must-Have: - Experience with general emergency department procedures - Ability to manage 4:1 patient ratios Job Description: - Work in a Level III Trauma Center emergency room environment - Manage 21 ED beds and 1 Trauma Bay - Utilize 4 Fast Track beds and 2 triage rooms, with travelers allowed to triage - Handle ER holds intermixed within the ER - Utilize separate psych/seclusion rooms, easily converted to crisis rooms - Collaborate with in-house security - Attend to approximately 125 patients per day - Access to 24/7 ED physician coverage and PA support for 8-16 hours per day - Support from 24/7 ED Charge RN and House Supervisor - Work with ED Techs available 24/7 - Use Meditech EMR system - Operate and assist with RT equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPAP - Participate in ABG and breathing treatments (performed by RT) and EKGs (performed by RNs and Techs) - Utilize telemetry; RNs are expected to read strips - Coordinate with imaging staff for patient transport for X-ray and CT scans - Perform nurse or ED Tech blood draws - Orientation provided before first shift Note: Scheduling includes every other weekend and holiday requirements as per contract. No floating or call/standby requirements.
