TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Edmond, Oklahoma, 73034 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: ICU RN Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 3x12 - 7am - 7pm Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Current RN License issued by the state board of nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Job Description: - Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders. - Assist physicians during patient examinations and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary. - Administer medications as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently and interact with family and patient to share care plans during hospital stay and discharge. - Inform patient and family of hospital procedures and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff.
