TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40202 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Surgical ICU - Liver & Kidney Transplants Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week Experience: 2 Years of ICU Experience License: Valid Kentucky Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: - ICU Experience - Recent Cerner Experience (does not have to be within the last year) Job Description: - Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Surgical ICU specializing in liver and kidney transplants. - Manage and operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, bipap, CRRT (Prismaflex), EKOS, and peritoneal dialysis machines. - Administer medications utilizing Alaris IV pumps. - Document patient information and updates using the Cerner EMR system. - Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 for optimal care. - Float to ICU, PCU, or Med Surg units as necessary. - Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to create a positive and supportive environment. - Exhibit flexibility, calmness, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting. - Comply with dress code: galaxy blue scrubs (top/bottom/jacket), black scrub pants only. - Expected to work at least 2 of the following 6 days: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. - Support an academic medical setting recognized for numerous medical firsts and advanced care services, with access to cutting-edge therapies.
