TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Redding, California, 96001 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts, Every Other Weekend, First to Float Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years required; previous travel experience preferred License: Required to submit Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; COVID Vaccine and NIHSS required; PALS preferred Must-Have: - Experience with ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies - Trauma experience, including care for neuro-strokes and head injuries - Post-TPA patient care experience Job Description: - Orientation includes a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on day one (PASS/FAIL) - Unit has 30 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2, typically 1:2 - Charting system: Cerner - No nurse aides on the unit; charge nurses do not take patient assignments - Every other weekend work requirement; no current holiday requirements - Floating to telemetry or medical-surgical units may be required - Common patient diagnoses include trauma, neuro-strokes, and head injuries - Robust interventional radiology program; traveler-friendly environment - Fast-paced unit; candidates must be willing to ask questions and seek help if needed - Candidates must work well with others and adapt to the unit's pace - The hospitalist is available 24/7; respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7 - Navy scrub color required Note: Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of specialty experience and should be aware they will work very hard on this unit.
