Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: AM/PM Rotation, 3x12 hours Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week Experience: Minimum 3 years of ICU Experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, & ACLS Required Must-Have: Must live 25+ miles away Job Description: - Provide care for neurological, neurosurgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients in a multidisciplinary ICU setting.
- Utilize various types of technology for critical care patients, including ventilators, entriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial and central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), gastric tubes, and intravenous infusion pumps.
- Perform a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements to meet the needs of patients, families, and the community.
- Execute patient care duties efficiently in alignment with professional standards and hospital policies.
- Maintain proper communication and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment in responding to emergency situations.
- Cultivate a supportive environment to enhance patient experience and care satisfaction.
