Responsibilities
• Perform pre-op phone screening and in-person clinic appointments• Conduct nursing assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments• Develop an appropriate plan of care for patients• Implement nursing interventions based on assessments• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team• Prioritize nursing interventions and promptly identify changes in condition• Involve patients in their plan of care and provide education• Adhere to hospital and nursing policies, procedures, and standards• Provide timely answers and education to patients and families• Advocate for patient safety and participate in performance improvement initiatives
Requirements
• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program• BSN preferred• 1 year of RN experience• Current Texas (or BNE Compact State) license• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification• Proficiency in computer technology• Good verbal and written communication skills• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs• Pass pre-employment physical exam, including colorblind testing• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccine mandate
