Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.*Qualifications:** Graduate of accredited school of nursing.* Bachelors Degree preferred* 2+ years in acute care preferred* Previous clinical nursing experience.* Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse required* Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.* AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY)* AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY or any nurse floated into L&D) \*Should be completed before the end of the orientation period* Fetal Monitoring - L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs are required to complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring with 30 days from hire date or transfer date into unit and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring with 8 months of L&D Orientation.* Experienced L&D RNs (>1 yr experience) must have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring on hire or within the first 90 days of hire,* S.T.A.B.L.E. – Level 2 Nursery-Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (Renewal is not required).* AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (PEDIATRICS)Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
